a photographer for every chapter of your story

there's a story in every photo
how it started...
When I was 16, I got in trouble, grounded to a chair for an entire day (yes friends this was the 90s). In a moment of compassion, to help fill the time, my aunt snuck me a "how to" book on photography. I remember snippets of tips from that book still to this day. In that moment of empathy from a woman that didn't tend to show it much, I FELT her feeling for me - that is probably why it stuck so hard in my core memories.
I am here today constantly seeking moments of feeling and capturing them in this artform. I am here to find your messy memories and help make them last and maybe to give you a piece of me in every photograph I take for you.
And I am grateful, humbled, and honored to do so.
products before digitals
When I was 13, our dinosaur of a computer crashed and ALL OF OUR DIGITAL IMAGES were wiped. I have nothing from my teenage-hood, and because printing was expensive and not easy - I don't really have much from my entire life before 19. This was in the age of transition from printing to digital. The transition went fast. Overnight we forgot about our throw away cameras and picked up a point and shoots. If you're wondering why I prioritize albums, wall art, and prints over digital files this is why. I always tell my clients - use the digitals as a backup and for your online presence. The album you buy now is not for now... it is for later, when your babies have babies and they need a tangible item to hold on to when they no longer have you.
