This Family Knew What They Were Doing
In all fairness, this was a Model Call. I needed to play around in a location and feel the sunset on my camera before heading straight into a paid session blindly. Truth be told, I haven't shot during the famous golden hour much... ever. And it feels different every evening, so nerves were high on my end. But practice makes progress and I'm so glad I practiced here with them.
There are some people you meet who you just CLICK with. They were fun, had great energy, and were ready to participate in this session like they had paid every penny for it.
CONNECTION! This is an integral part of a successful session. Connection between photographer and client so the photographer can see and feel the true connection between the clients themselves. This will manifest into magic in the final photos.
One thing you always remember, but can never really plan entirely for is how much you are racing against time in sunset sessions! Eek. It was fast paced, high energy, and lots of inspirational moments found, felt, and realized during this family session.
And above all, we found smiles, laughs, real, raw, candid, photographic bliss that created effervescent moments of timeless treasures for this family to have for generations.
And that my friends, is why I absolutely cannot stop doing this thing I love to do - me, my camera, and your trust in the magic we can make.
Remember, even the blurry ones are beautiful, because its all about the connection to the memory that will stay with us longer than the minor details that will eventually become fuzzy with time.
So tell me, in the comments or Contact Me Here, what is a feeling you never ever want to forget that you want to capture in a photo? What is a connection that fills your soul? Then tell me when you'd like to give me the honor of making it happen in a photo for you to keep forever.
